Here’s a thought I found interesting.

What you appreciate appreciates.

Did you catch that there’s two meanings to that word?

Appreciation can be something that you show. That you deliver. It’s a verb. It’s an action.

Whereas something that is appreciating is increasing in value.

And when you appreciate something, it appreciates.

You know what I’m talking about. You get a new house, get a new car. You appreciate it. What do you do? You take care of it. You enhance it, you improve it. And it appreciates because of your appreciation.

It’s the same thing with people.

People whom you appreciate. Appreciate. Example – Employee. When you show appreciation, their value in themselves increases. Their sense of worth, their sense of value is enhanced by your act of appreciation.

And when their value and worth is enhanced, they work better, they work harder, there’s less complaints. They feel like they belong. And that is an employee that is appreciating in value to you.

So in personal life, in professional life, in your things and your relationships, what you appreciate will appreciate.
