TMS Step 6: Goals – Leading a Company
As do humans, as do teams – companies need goals. Without a clear, chosen, meaningful goal, there is not movement. There is limited success.
However, the dynamics of goal setting take on a little different form for a company than for a team or an individual. Goals for a company fall out of a carefully crafted strategic plan which, in essence, has a hierarchy of goals.
There is the longer-term “vision” goal. There are over-arching goals that are needed to reach that vision. Then there are smaller strategic goals to achieve each of the over-arching goals. All of which translates to more immediate tasks, or daily goals, to have consistent aligned movement.
