Who Gets to Be a Leader

We often look at one person or another and say, “Wow…he/she is such a good leader,” with the thought, “I wish I could be that kind of leader!” Yet…you can!

It is a fallacy to think people are born to lead – or not. Certainly, there are different styles of leadership. One person being quiet and methodical in style and approach, while another person is effervescent and highly engaging. Yet, both can be equally effective. How is that so? Because leadership attributes and skillsets are learned. They are not inherent to one type, or style, of person.

This tutorial speaks to this fact and can encourage the hesitant or newly promoted leader. It can also expand the mindset of a person who feels limited because, in their deeper reflection, they don’t feel like they were born to lead.
