Systems Thinking

A leader never has tunnel vision. There is a much broader perspective. And it is played out in the leadership characteristic called “Systems Thinking.”

There are two types of systems a leader considers in making decisions or aligning the team and/or operations. First, there is the concept of interconnectedness – how all elements in a system affect all other elements. Like our Ecosystem.

Additionally, there are systems of “flow” – HOW a process works. This is about defining and designing the most efficient way to get from the beginning of a process to the end. The steps. The considerations at each step. And the importance of having all team members align around a chosen efficiency system so as to have clarity, indeed safety, in execution.
